Sea Wall Re-Opens
On Sunday 13 September 2015 the coastal footpath between Colwell and Totland was officially reopened. Over 1,000 people attended the launch which featured live music from FaT Samba and the Brighstone Barnacles. Read more →

Totland Bay / Colwell Bay Landslip
Totland Sea Wall Colwell Bay is linked to neighbouring Totland Bay by a popular promenade coastal path popular with locals and tourists alike. Unfortunately, back in December 2012 the concrete sea wall collapsed due to heavy rain causing a landslip. London 2012 Olympic Torch visits Colwell Common
On Saturday 14th July 2012 the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay progressed past Colwell Common on the way to Alum Bay from Yarmouth.
The Olympic torch was carried by Jim Morris from Rookley. The Isle of Wight County Press also marked the occasion via their web-site.
